Alm Østre Farm

Alm Østre is one of Norway’s oldest biodynamic farms. The farm has been self-owned since 2010 and is administered by the foundation’s committee. The purpose of the Alm Østre Foundation is to operate biodynamically and to perform research, training and guidance in biodynamic farming. The farm’s 125 acres are given over to mixed farming, including production of milk, grain, vegetables and animal feed. No pesticides or artificial fertilisers have been used for over 40 years. The milk production and all livestock farming is based on the farm’s own resources, with all feed and concentrates being produced on the farm. The farm has sheep, pigs and laying hens. You can buy a wide variety of vegetables during the course of the season, with a regular vegetable box subscription, at the farm shop or to order. The farm shop also has flour from our own grain, eggs and meat from our animals.
